Welcome to Drop Your Item. These Terms govern your use of our marketplace, where individuals can list, browse, and buy or sell items. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who can use Drop Your Item

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account and post listings. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

2. Listings and conduct

When you post a listing or send a message, you agree that you will not:

• Offer illegal items, weapons, drugs, stolen goods, counterfeit products, or adult/explicit content;
• Post misleading, fraudulent, or spam content;
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users;
• Attempt to move transactions off-platform to circumvent our safety systems;
• Upload images that contain prohibited or illegal content.

We use automated moderation (text and image) and may remove any content or account that violates these Terms.

3. Transactions between users

Drop Your Item is a venue that connects buyers and sellers. We are not a party to the transactions between users, do not take possession of items, and do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of listings. Meet safely, inspect items before paying, and use common sense.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive license to host and display that content for the purpose of operating the service.

5. Account suspension

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, put other users at risk, or engage in fraudulent behavior.

6. Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Drop Your Item is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or from interactions with other users.

7. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
